Battle of the Hornburg; Happened on the night of March 3 & the 4th in 3rd Age 3019. It happened in the great coomb, and the caverns behind it, that lay in the northern valleys of the White Mountains(Ered Nimrais).
Erkenbrand was defeated at the Second Battle of the Fords of Isen, and his men scattered across the plains. After hearing the news of the defeat, Théoden diverted to the defensive position of Helm's Deep. The armies of Saruman traveled from the Fords, besieging Helm's Deep on the night of March 3rd. Then Erkenbrand's men, gathered by Gandalf, rode to the relief of Théoden, and Saruman's forces were defeated and the Rohirrim had the victory.(I Love the movie adaptation though.)

Door Of Night; Was the gateway to the Timeless Void and was created during the First Age; and no longer present in the World after the Downfall of Númenor in II 3319. It is located in the extreme west of the World. The Door Of Night was a guarded portal in the distant West of the World, through which Morgoth was cast after his defeat in the War of Wrath. Its origins are unclear: according to some accounts, it was made by the Valar as a passage for the Sun, which would return into the World through the Gates of Morning in the east. According to others, though, it was made expressly as a gateway through which to expel Morgoth. She was famed for her weaving of tapestries. After the passing of King Elessar, Arwen laid herself to Cerin Amroth and died. The Master Stone; The great Seeing Stone that stood beneath the Dome of Stars in Osgiliath. It was the chief of the palantíri of Middle-earth, and had power over the other Stones (it is known, for example, that it had the unique ability to observe conversations between the users of other palantíri). Tol Eressëa; Was formed in the destruction of the Lamp Illuin in very ancient times. It is located originally in the middle of the Great Sea, but eventually anchored off the eastern coast of Aman. Orthanc; Was constructed in the early days of Gondor, quite possibly before the end of the Second Age. It is unlikely to have been called Orthanc before III 2759. It is located at the source of the River Isen, at the southern end of the Misty Mountains and was Built by the early Gondorians. The Tower Orthanc was the mighty tower of unbreakable stone built by the Men of Gondor in the beginning of their realm, set in the Ring of Isengard at the southern feet of the Misty Mountains. Mae Govannen, I want to thank each of you for taking your time to follow me, it means a lot! I started this account approximately 24 weeks ago and have slowly been gaining the best Tolkien fans and followers I have ever come across. I really hope you guys enjoy my posts because I put a lot of time into them and my goal is to expand your knowledge on various topics within Tolkien's legendarium. I realize not all of you who follow me are in tune with Tolkien's books and poems and various works, but I hope seeing my posts inspires you to read everything he has to offer. I personally consider Tolkien to be a genius when it comes to storytelling and most of all in depth and detail. I could write much more about this but I won't for the sake of this post. I know most of you don't know a thing about me(except @tolkien_is_the_master) and the reason is because I don't want you guys to focus on me as the admin or as a person, I want you to think of my account as a mere vessel to what types of facts and stories you could potentially become familiar with if you pursue Tolkien's works. As Tolkien himself wouldn't want us breaking down his story looking for themes or allegories(He despises this, as stated in "On Fairy-Stories") So I try to stick to that message in my own doings with this account.
